Seshat Forge is a local SEO service for small businesses operated by Open Whale LLC, a California limited liability company. Open Whale LLC is a remote business with no physical office. When you visit the public pages of seshatforge.com, the site automatically collects some information through the services described below.

PostHog is used for product analytics. It collects page views, clicks, the referring site, browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. PostHog uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a returning browser. The data it collects is processed on PostHog's servers in the United States.

Ahrefs Web Analytics is used for cookieless page view counts. It does not use cookies.

The hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs. These logs include IP addresses and are used for security and operations.

Information you give us

The free audit request form asks for your name, email address, phone number, website address, and details about your business. When you submit the form, your information is sent by email through Resend, an email delivery service, to the Seshat Forge inbox. The information is used only to prepare and deliver the requested audit, to reply to you, and to keep basic business records related to your request.

Client report pages are private. They are reached by a link plus a PIN. When you enter the PIN, the site sets a short-lived cookie to remember that the PIN was entered.

There are no user accounts, no payments taken on this site, and no advertising networks.

Your form submission is not sold or shared for marketing. Information may also be shared if required by law.

PostHog uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a returning browser. The private client report pages set a short-lived cookie after you enter the PIN. No other cookies are used on this site.

The site works without accepting any cookies or browser storage. Some analytics data may not be collected if you block these technologies, and the private report pages can still be reached each time by entering the link and PIN again. There is no cookie banner because none is required for this use.

Your choices and rights
